Economically Weaker Sections [EWS’s] Quota – 10% Reservation for General (UR) Category
Govt. of India enabled the General Category to claim 10% reservations in all employment and educations in Institutions under Govt. of India and Public Sector Undertakings. Here is the guidelines and instructions to obtain the EWS Certificate (Economically Weaker Sections) in the prescribed format to claim the reservations.
The persons belonging to EWSs who, are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs shall get 10% reservation in direct recruitment in civil posts and services in the Government of India.
How to Get EWS Quota Certificate?

EWS Quota is applicable only for the castes which does not comes under Govt of India, National Commission for Backward Classes [www.ncbc.nic.in] – [Except SC, ST and OBC (Central List)]

ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ವಲಯದ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆಗಳ ನೇಮಕಾತಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ EWS Quota ಶೇ.10ರ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
If you wish to claim EWS Quota the following conditions should be complied with:
EWS Quota ಅರ್ಹತೆಗೆ ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಗಳು ಅನ್ವಯವಾಗಲಿವೆ
- Should not have 5 acres of agricultural land and above;
ಕೃಷಿ ಭೂಮಿಯು 5 ಎಕರೆ ಅಥವಾ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಇರಕೂಡದು - Should not have Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. and above;
ನಿವಾಸದ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣ 1000 ಚದರ ಅಡಿ ಅಥವಾ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಇರಕೂಡದು - Should not have Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities;
ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾದ ಪೌರಾಡಳಿತ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವಾಸದ ಸ್ಥಳ 100 ಚದರ ಯಾರ್ಡ್ ಅಥವಾ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಇರಕೂಡದು - Should not have Residential plot of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities
ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾದ ಪೌರಾಡಳಿತ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಹೊರತಾದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವಾಸದ ಸ್ಥಳ 200 ಚದರ ಯಾರ್ಡ್ ಅಥವಾ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಇರಕೂಡದು - Family’s Total Annual Income should be less than Rs.8 Lakh
ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೂಲಗಳ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಆದಾಯ ರೂ.8 ಲಕ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇರತಕ್ಕದ್ದು
